Being a Black woman is my superpower. We are in this together. Since being a part of the Professional Women’s Group here at Dress for Success, I have grown so much, and I am truly unstoppable. I only said it before because it sounded good, but now I truly believe it. If I can do it, I know we all can!

Aleshia is a single mother of a child with a learning disability, yet she always finds time to help others and will always have something positive to say. She came to Dress for Success Oklahoma City just after the COVID pandemic and has been involved with it ever since. She came to us after starting a new job at a nonprofit that we partnered with. A previous client recommended us to her as she knew she needed professional items for her new role.

Since the beginning, Aleshia was a ray of sunshine for everyone at Dress for Success Oklahoma City! She started participating in the Professional Women’s Group (PWG), followed by its annual gala and the Talbots Trunk Shows. Aleshia not only attended the Professional Women’s Group to get support, but to give it to other women as well.

Aleshia is one of the kindest, most hard-working, and motivated ladies with Dress for Success Oklahoma City. Aleshia is employed full time at Opportunities Industrialization Center of Oklahoma County, Inc., helping adult learners through academic and career education.
